Efficient, Low-Carbon Heating for Your Home
Heat pumps are a modern, energy-efficient alternative to traditional fossil-fuel heating systems. They take heat from the air or ground and use electricity to provide heating and hot water for your home.
At ProGas Heating & Plumbing Services, we are BPEC-qualified in heat pump systems, providing professional heat pump installation and heating-system expertise.
Heat pumps can be suitable for many different types of UK homes and can provide comfortable, reliable heating while helping to reduce your property’s carbon emissions.
✔️ Highly energy efficient – heat pumps can produce several units of heat for each unit of electricity they consume.
✔️ Lower carbon heating – heat pumps are a low-carbon heating technology and can significantly reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
✔️ Works with modern heating systems – heat pumps can work with radiators, underfloor heating and appropriately designed hot-water systems.
✔️ Designed for continuous comfort – unlike a traditional boiler, a heat pump is normally designed to operate at lower flow temperatures for longer periods.
✔️ Future-ready heating – heat pumps are an important part of the UK’s move towards low-carbon heating.
✔️ Potential government financial support – eligible properties may be able to benefit from the Government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
The UK Government currently supports eligible heat-pump installations through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS).
Current grant levels include:
The grant is normally applied for by the installer through Ofgem and is deducted from the customer’s installation cost.
Every property is different. Before recommending a heat pump, we can assess your existing heating system and property requirements, including:
Our aim is not simply to install a heat pump, but to design a heating system that is correctly sized and suitable for your home.
ProGas has undertaken recognised BPEC heat-pump training, covering the skills and knowledge required for the installation and commissioning of heat-pump systems.
We combine our heat-pump training with our experience in domestic heating, plumbing and boiler systems to provide a complete heating solution.
Whether you’re replacing an old boiler, renovating your home or looking for a lower-carbon heating solution, we can assess your property and explain the available options.
Contact ProGas Heating & Plumbing Services for a heat-pump assessment and quotation.
Government grants are subject to eligibility criteria, scheme rules and availability. BPEC qualification does not itself provide MCS certification. Boiler Upgrade Scheme grants require the installation to meet the applicable scheme requirements and be completed through an MCS-certified installer.
